In social studies this past week we have learned about getting apples from the orchard to us! Today we saw first hand and learned how turnip greens, collards, mustards, parsley and other vegetables are grown right here in the delta and shipped locally to our grocery stores as well as nation wide.
A big thanks to Mr. Tommy Miller for allowing us this opportunity. Thanks Mr. Michael Lott for arranging this experience for us! We had a great day!
Our fun Friday started out with lunch in the classrooms!!
We have made it to the Mississippi Sweet Corn Production (MSCP).
If you see this tag in our local Wal-Mart, Super-Value, or Kroger stores it was grown right here in the delta!
Checking out the greens in the field!
Smelling the cilantro. Cilantro is used in salsa.
We had a great Friday learning about different services our community has to offer right here! Thanks to all who made today a great day!
