Have you ever looked at a candy cane and wondered how it can be related to the birth of Jesus?
Today, we read The Legend of the Candy Cane and learned how a candy cane is a reminder of Jesus' birth.
The candy cane looks like...
a 'J' for Jesus, who was born on Christmas Day.
a shepherd'staff, the first to find out about Jesus' birth.
The red represents the blood shed for us and the white represents washing away our sins, making us white and pure as snow.
The students were encouraged to share this 'sweet' treat and meaning with one friend throughout this Christmas season!
