2nd graders travel the Cleveland community!

After learning lots about communities, we decided to take a trip around our wonderful community, CLEVELAND!!!

We began by heading south to the Boyle post office to see Mr. John Kyle. Each student wrote a letter to a teacher and purchased a stamp before mailing it.

Thanks so much Mr. Kyle!!

Next we headed north to the BPAC Sculpture Garden.

Thank you Mrs. Nan Sanders for letting us look at the sculptures and for telling us all about them!!

After seeing the beautiful sculptures, we headed to Mr. Sledge's Apple Farm!! He told us about his apple orchard and the other fruit trees he has.

Thank you so much for the fresh, crisp apple, Mr. Sledge!!

Next, we enjoyed a wonderful picnic lunch under the trees at the Apple Farm!

After filling our tummies with yummy food, it was time to visit Mr. Lyle Malloy at Riverside Air!

Watching Mr. Lyle fly his crop duster was really cool!

Thanks Mr. Lyle for letting us come see your plane!!

We aren't done yet!! We headed a little further north to Pongetti Farms!!

We got to ride combines and tractors!!

The hay ride was a hit!!

We had a fun day of traveling around the community and seeing what it had to offer!! Thanks to everyone, parents for driving and volunteers for allowing us to come visit!! It was a SUCCESSFUL day!!
