Thunder Cake by Patricia Polacco was the perfect reading story for us since we have had a lot of rain lately!! We are thankful for the sunny skies we have been having!!

 Springtime certainly brings lots of stormy weather. 

The story is about a little girl who helps her grandma
 prepare a Thunder Cake during an approaching thunderstorm. 

The recipe for the cake is included at the end of the story, 
and Miss Pongetti's grandmother used it to make a Thunder Cake for us!

 

Thunder cake was a hit!!
