Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's a WEATHER BALLOON!!

Ms. Pongetti's friend, Anthony Malatesta,  found a weather balloon and thought it would be a neat thing to share with us!

Our weather balloon was released by the National Weather Service.

After checking out the information on the weather balloon, we learned it was released from Little Rock, Arkansas, on February 6, and was found around Shelby, MS, on Sunday, February 15.

That's 185 miles away from here!!

Thanks you Mr. Anthony for sharing this neat and unique discovery with us!!

The balloon is on its way back to the National Weather Service so they can use the information to predict changes in the atmosphere, the air pressure, temperature, and humidity!!
